Matric Group consists of three companies.
Matric Limited was founded on December 6, 1971, by two electrical engineers turned Vo-Tech teachers interested in designing, building, and servicing HAM radio equipment. Their portfolio expanded into rugged control systems specifically for the mining industry.
Today, Matric contract manufacturers electronic assemblies, offering world-class Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) with personalized customer support, working closely with customers to meet unique assembly and testing requirements.
Matric offers both turnkey and board-level assembly, specializing in high mix/low to high-volume contract assembly with its ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and AS 9100 certified quality management systems.
Located in Northwestern PA, Matric's 84,000 sq. ft. facility sets on 26 acres of beautiful farmland.
On January 1, 1993, three former Fisher Scientific employees formed Dynamic Manufacturing. At first, space was rented for operations in the U-Parc facility, located at the former Chem Lab campus in Harmarville, PA. The company grew to be a formidable business that offered electronic manufacturing services, aftermarket services, and cable assembly.
Later on December 19, 2005, the assets of Dynamic Manufacturing was sold to Matric Group. It is now located in Freeport, PA.
As the new millennium approached three innovative, entrepreneurial companies looked to the wind turbine marketplace and saw an opportunity to advance wind turbine blade pitch control. The three companies would pool their resources together in 2000 to form the business, then known as MLS Electrosystem. Each of these enterprises brought their own credible experience in the areas of sales & marketing ( within the gear and motor industry), engineering R&D (in the servo control industry), and engineering & electronic manufacturing ( primarily focused in the industrial electronics and servo control industries).
In February of 2010, interests of the company were acquired by two of the original companies: Matric Group located in Seneca, PA and R2J Technologies, located in Pittsburgh. Thus, the emergence of Windurance began.
